Dandelion by Amber Macintosh
A curated guide to Yoga, Meditation and Wellness.
dandelion celebrates our individuality and the joy of simple changes that can transform our lives for the better.
Websites and books on the subject of wellness often begin with a wake up call, a crisis that kick starts a healthy lifestyle. I did not have this sort of epiphany, just little opportunities to improve my wellbeing, which I embraced.
Working in London as a Lifestyle & Beauty PR for over 10 years brought me into contact with health and beauty journalists, holistic therapists and nutritional experts. I listened to the results of their research and was encouraged to make small changes that began to stick.
In yoga I found the moment of calm my mind needed with a busy job and movement that made my body feel great. My yoga practice became a passion and a constant companion, wherever work took me I found somewhere to learn and enjoyed 15 years exploring different traditions.
In 2010 my husband and I left London to bring our young family to live in the country. Away from a full time job, for the first time, I took the opportunity to deepen my yoga practice by completing a two year Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training course. I now fuse this style of yoga with other traditions I enjoy to deliver varied group and one to one classes.
CURATED BEAUTY & supplements
In my little online shop you will find skincare from De Mamiel and supplements from Wild Nutrition, with treats and yoga goodies I find along the way, and love, thrown in. These complement and support your body and mind alongside a balanced diet and rest.
Exploring new techniques, experiencing the latest complimentary therapies and researching wellness concepts is essential to provide quality classes & complete wellness support for clients.
I am currently studying for a diploma in Applied Nutrition, created by nutritionist and health expert, Dale Pinnock - The Medicinal Chef. I chart my recipes and ideas through Instagram so every day you will find delicious and nutritious plant based food inspirations.
I am sure that yoga, nutrition and meditation have an important role to play in our increasing busy and often stress filled lives, the results my clients see and feel confirm this. I balance the benefits of ancient traditions with the latest research in functional medicine for a modern approach to holistic wellbeing.
